Finance Manager
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
About Us
The Dean family have been farming in Lincolnshire for over a century, building a reputation for trust and long-term stewardship. Based five miles south of Lincoln, we operate two principal agricultural businesses trading as Dean Farming and manage a number of associated family companies and trusts spanning farming, property and diversified rural interests.
With a long-serving member of our finance team retiring, and as the group continues to evolve, we are taking the opportunity to strengthen and future-proof our finance function through the appointment of a Finance Manager.
The Role
This is a pivotal position with overall responsibility for the financial management, reporting and planning across our two principal trading companies and wider group entities.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead the production of timely and reliable financial information, oversee budgeting and longer-term planning, and ensure strong financial control across the group. The role includes responsibility for intercompany accounting, cashflow management and year-end processes, as well as supporting capital investment decisions and working closely with external advisers.
You will play a central role in monitoring performance across our farming, property and diversified activities, providing clear and practical financial insight to support both operational management and board-level decision-making. In doing so, you will work alongside the existing finance team and be accountable for the continued development and effectiveness of the finance function, including the ongoing improvement of systems, processes and reporting.
This is a full-time role, based at our offices five miles south of Lincoln.

About You
We are looking for a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional.
You will be comfortable operating across multiple entities and able to turn detailed financial information into clear, meaningful reporting. Just as importantly, you will be prepared to work hands-on within the finance function rather than purely at a supervisory level.
